Standard Snake App Reviews

The two things that aggravate me the most about apps here - No instructions so you have no idea how to use the app - or in this case, I have no idea how to play the game. I guess Im stupid but I have no clue. And then a website with no support and no way to contact the developer. I dont know how Apple keeps approving all these apps and these support links where theres no way to contact them for support. So for me, until they include some basic instrutions, this is useless

Best version of the original snake game i have ever seen. One of the only games i am never tired of.

So simple, yet so good! I love the minimal design! I wish more games would focus on not just looking good, but working really well too. This game is a great example of that!

Love this simple addictive game! Simply brilliant :D The regular updates makes me wanna love it even more A request, the snake movement is jagged is kinda irritating. I know it is so to resemble the Snake in old monochrome phones but a smooth movement would be more engaging :)

everybody loves snake. this game is snake, with one exception (going though walls). Therefore, evereyone should love this game. and for people who dont understand "boss mode", it doesnt refer to a boss like a final enemy to defeat. its refering to when your boss happens to walk by your desk, you can hit command B and it will look like you are doing something productive......

Back in the day of the Apple IIE, Snake and Columns were THE games. I loved snake and this is an okay little version of the classic. Its really small on a computer screen, though. The biggest dissapointment, thouigh, was that the snake doesnt run into the walls and die. That was the major hazard of Snake, followed by the snake running into itself. This version of the game not haveing that important hazard makes it way too easy.

I remember when this game was a novelty on a regular cell phone. Ive only played it briefly, but its quite fun. One thing that would maket this game better is for the snake to die when it runs into a wall. That was part of the challenge of the original snake game and it would be nice to see that in here. Other than that, a nice, simple game for when your bored or trying to avoid doing homework.

Why make such a fundamental change to the game and not have an option to keep the old behavior?

I really like this game; it’s a fun thing to boot up when I have nothing to do. However, the most recent update made some pretty big changes, and I think adding back old options would be great. Things that I’d like to see in the next update: -Option to change volume/mute sound FX -Option to remove solid walls -Small window mode? Maybe just a “classic” option to restore original gameplay? I really appreciate that the dev is still updating it after all these years, this is just what I’d like to see happen if possible.

I used to love standard snake! It was addictive. But I hate the new update! I liked being able to run through the walls and I liked the look of the old screen and snake.

I enjoyed the first version, but the update makes the screen look sleek and the sound effects are more responsive. It’s a wonderful way destress and take a short break, or to spend a while testing one’s responses to the moving target. I like the new sounds effects as well. I like the fact that the new version can disable walls - a choice I use when I am tired and don’t want to crash right away. And disabling the sound effects lets me play late into the night without disturbing anyone. I spend far too much time on this addictive game. Thanks

Well-elaborated game! Nice attention to details without loosing any fidelity of the classic game. It could easily be better than the original. Put this on the iOS app store with swipe gestures to change directions and sell it for 1 dollar and it will be a hit! I like the design of your apps. I’d love to see more of yours soon! Kudos!

This is one of my favorite versions of Snake. It runs smoothly, looks nice, and enables you to turn the walls on and off. I’d really like to see this same version on my iPhone.
